I did it! I found Breaka Iced Coffee in Adelaide! Ironically, it was in Foodland, which is only found in South Australia! Weird.
I had a really good time in Adelaide. :o)

This is my quest...
I'm leaving for Adelaide on Friday. They have an Iced Coffee down there that apparently outsells Coke, and as one person said '...is SO GOOD that it's almost a regional treasure'. The offending brand - Farmer's Union. We get it up here too, but only in selected supermarkets and service stations. Frankly, I think it's gross. But my boyfriend loves it, and so does everyone else in South Australia, it seems. I LOVE Breaka Iced Coffee, but my boyfriend said he's never seen it down there! Of all the nerve! :o) So, my quest is to find a place that sells Breaka Iced Coffee! To buy it, and drink so much that I almost burst. And to show that I'm a true Breaka-loving Brisbanite. *sigh* I hope I'm successful. I don't know if I can stand a whole nine days without my beloved Iced Coffee. It'll be tough. :o)

I'm a well person fighting sickness at the moment. My throat is really gross, and I have a runny nose. Not good at all, especially considering I fly to Adelaide on Friday! I'll have to get some cold & flu medication today. :o) Everything will be groovy.
Guess what? My boyfriend, two other friends and I played the card game '500' last night. My boyfriend and I won... we were on 540, and the other two were on MINUS 530!!! :o) It was fun. Well, of course it was! We kicked their butts!!! Ahhhh... We are getting good. We have to be, because when we go to Adelaide, we're going to be playing alot. Apparently that's all his family do - drink coffee and play '500'. Suits me just fine, I really like it. :o)
1. Do you use any slang words on a regular basis? I've never really thought about it... I probably use quite a bit of Aussie slang without realising.
2. Is there any one slang word that really bothers you when you hear others use it? Actually, the word 'bloke' sometimes really annoys me. And 'sheila'. Very, very occa.
3. Do you have a favorite slang word? My goodness... I have no idea. :o)
4. What are your thoughts on adding slang words to the dictionary? I think it's a pretty good idea. I could handle having Aussie slang words in the dictionary, at least then I can find out what they actually mean! :o)
What one thing are you most looking forward to...
1. ...today? Having lunch with my boyfriend
2. ...over the next week? Going on a plane for the first time ever!
3. ...this year? Possibly getting married... :o)
4. ...over the next five years? Our church growing enormously (thousands of souls saved!)
